I think I must have instinctually avoided being captured on camera when I was pregnant with Luca or James....for obvious reasons...my general puffiness. But then when I try to put together their baby books I have no pictures to prove what I endured to bring them into the world:) This time I'm making a conscious effort to hand over the camera and get in a photo or two.
Luca took the next one.
He really loved Ithaca Falls.
Luca played table top croquet with his grandma and grandpa. Why the lack of shirt? Who knows. It was hot though. [Luca's edit: "I won!"]
I really like the bubble set Luca got for his birthday from our nextdoor neighbor. It makes really cool bubbles and even James could do it on his own.
We went to a fun playground near the falls which both boys loved.

This is the only Lily picture you'll see from us this year. Yesterday we arrived home to see our asiatic lillies with fat buds ready to split open. Some even showing a bit of the vibrant colors through the splits just to tempt us with what was to come. Some of the day lillies were already blooming, like this one and they had dozens of blossoms shooting up between the leaves. Alas...this morning we woke to see that the deer had eaten every single thing. Even the day lillies. They couldn't have eaten them in the beginning when the anticipation hadn't built up yet. No. They had to wait till we were so close and then deal their crushing blow. So cruel. I almost cried (okay...my hormones are going a little haywire...but Luca actually did cry) If only I had a shotgun...
