THE Q

I've been reading Don Quijote de la Mancha by Miguel de Cervantes. The first time I read it I was 17 years old and had not yet realized that my youthful idealism was actually seen by the majority of the world as a mental condition caused by reading too many books. At one point Q advises his sidekick Sancho Panza: "would that god give you all that is good and right for you...but don't reduce your zeal so much that you become content with less than you might become" (excuse my poor translation)

I love Don Quixote! I read it while in South America a few years ago, and it always brings a smile to my face thinking about the misled great-mindedness of the Don. Also, great to see you blogging...;)
