Ladew Gardens (kid photographers)

On our Friday off of school, we started with a fun sock matching competition.  I had a huge bag of orphan socks, and assumed many of the mates were in their drawers or under their beds.  At a rate of $1 a sock, my kids went to work.  I'm not kidding when I say that they matched up 50 pairs of socks!  Yes, it was that bad.

Then we visited Ladew Gardens, a topiary garden near home.  The kids really enjoyed discovering all sorts of lovely places within the garden.  They also wanted to work on their photography skills, so I turned it over to them.  Ugh, lots of close ups of me looking annoyed.

James is always willing to be a subject.  Maybe because he knows he's gorgeous:)

Favorite Pastime

I absolutely love watching these boys play ball.  Luca is a pitcher.

James at bat.

I love the look on his face watching his hit.
Luca at bat.  He had the only home-run on the team this year.
James threw out 4 base stealers this year.  He is the most adorable catcher.

Sayings

Tommy to Jeremiah:. "I can't wait till I'm older than you."

I love driving up to this view with Tommy yelling, "what road are we on?" Followed by, "There's our pretty Maryland house!"

10 years old and only two candles.  Hey, it was a snowstorm.  Best I could do.  The boy wanted Rhubarb pie instead of cake.

A bit of my old jameser today

James is hosting a tournament of scents with my candle stash.  He was really excited that he found enough to have two brackets.

Classic.  Morning after he kept me up all night pose.  At least he's cute.

Undecorating

Me:. "Tommy, do you want to help me take the ornaments off?"
Tommy:. "No.  I don't like that."
Me:. "You only like putting them on?"
Tommy:. "No, I only like yogurt."
